Remi Austin is a fundraiser for the African Peace Collaborative (APC), a conflict resolution nonprofit founded by her late mother. Frustrated by her inability to raise funds and faced with the imminent closure of the APC, Remi turns to a life of crime to keep her nonprofit afloat. From Sydney, to Tokyo, Geneva and Cape Town, Remi transforms from a fundraiser too shy to speak during staff meetings into a daring international art thief who must stop a war from breaking out and figure out how to save herself from a life behind bars. With the help of her best friend, a designer and inventor who creates gadget-packed gowns, Remi eludes a dashing insurance agent and a terrifying stalker, all while redistributing the wealth of the world, one work of art at a time.

Living in the shadow of ‘greatness’ can be a difficult thing. Just ask Desdemona Fortune.

When her father, the magnificent J. Caesar Fortune, is found murdered inside the offices of the Faculty of Art, there is no shortage of people who may have carried a grudge. From the lover who could not capture his affection to the colleagues whose efforts were repeatedly ignored, many resented the immensity of his literary success.

For though the ‘Man of Words’ is lying dead on a slab, his legacy will live on. But as Desdemona knows, the legacy of greatness can carry a heavy price.

In a household pummeled by the dual forces of addiction and narcissism, Desdemona must face the fact the father she loved has hurt those closest to him. Now, as the head of a once illustrious family, she must do whatever is necessary to save her one surviving sister from the far-reaching influence of an immortal.

Detective Rick Burns is far from normal. He’s smart, and he has a keen eye, but he’s tormented from his past. After a series of personal tragedies, the pain that Rick has held inside is about to spill out in dramatic fashion.

Rick’s wife left him after the death of their son, he’s in love with the one woman he can’t have, and he’s investigating a slew of unsolved, gruesome murders. When a creepy boy begins “haunting” the detective, his life starts spinning out of control. He doesn’t know if he’s seeing things, going crazy, or if he’s the killer.

But the boy knows. He’s knows Rick. And he knows the maniacal serial killer who’s preying on domestic abusers. In an attempt to unearth the murderer, the boy ushers Rick into a terrifying chase where reality and the supernatural are blurred, nearly costing him his life, his love, and his reputation.

The question is, will Rick finally find the peace he’s been looking for, or does fate have something else in store for the detective?
