FREE on Kindle

My name is Lucy Satin, and I’m seventeen years old. I grew up in a prison for crazy people because I can see things, phantoms that nobody believes are there. But I know they’re real. I’ve always been able to see them, as long as I can remember. That’s why my parents abandoned me. The people here do horrible things to me, and seems like all my friends die before me. But no, not all of them. I have my true friends, who understand me. People call them the Unseen.

A poignant tale of a life, a unique book unlike anything else by Luke Alistar.

Bones: The Complete Apocalypse Saga
Bones: The Complete Apocalypse Saga

by Mark Wheaton

When mankind is visited by Three Great Apocalypses, the only thing standing in their way is a feckless but loyal, easily distracted yet occasionally ferocious German shepherd named Bones, a one-time cadaver dog with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. This is his amazing story.

In Bones, our hero must battle a plague of dangerous parasites that brings the dead back to life with the goal of destroying the planet. Shepherd finds Bones delivered to earthquake-devastated Los Angeles to hunt for survivors only to run afoul of armies of rage-driven rats and birds emerging from the rubble. And when mankind reaches its final hour and a pocket of surviving Indians are all that’s left of humanity, it falls on Bones to save the species before civilization is wiped out forever in Alpha.

Three Apocalyptic novellas of nature run amok, three interwoven stories that feature a German shepherd at the center of the things, three stories with so much action you might just explode reading them.

It all began with a line of Persian poetry… Anna and Nouri, both studying in Chicago, fall in love despite their very different backgrounds. Anna, who has never been close to her parents, is more than happy to return with Nouri to his native Iran, to be embraced by his wealthy family. Beginning their married life together in 1978, their world is abruptly turned upside down by the overthrow of the Shah, and the rise of the Islamic Republic.

Under the Ayatollah Khomeini and the Republican Guard, life becomes increasingly restricted and Anna must learn to exist in a transformed world, where none of the familiar Western rules apply. Random arrests and torture become the norm, women are required to wear hijab, and Anna discovers that she is no longer free to leave the country.

As events reach a fevered pitch, Anna realizes that nothing is as she thought, and no one can be trusted.. not even her husband.

Rica Bonin April 21, 2012 at 3:23 am

whats wrong w the special offers? i have that one… works as good as one w/o offers ;-)

Pat Montgomery April 21, 2012 at 8:17 am

In case someone hasn't been paying attention, the price on the used KK3- Kindle 3G/Wi-Fi without Special Offers has dropped to about half of the $189 they sell for brand new. Seems like most people are buying the one with Special Offers at the large discount. You hardly notice the ads and if you do look at them, there are so many great offers to use. Why would anyone not consider the one with Special Offers to be REAL?

Bea Hall April 21, 2012 at 8:19 am

Rica Bonin It was soooooo slow and took forever for the screen to go back to the book. I bought it, kept it a week and took it back. I'll just save til I can get a "real" one. I have a Nook color and I love it!

Bea Hall April 21, 2012 at 8:20 am
