Living a nightmare…
When EDGE operative Dillon Caldwell follows a direct order to bring down the Sanchez Brothers drug cartel, he never imagines that his wife, Sara, would be next on the cartel’s hit list.
Dillon thought nothing could match the pain of losing his wife, but when Sara mysteriously turns up twelve months later, beaten yet alive, he realizes he was wrong. She has secrets she’s unwilling to share, secrets that could cost them their lives.

Hunted by a relentless killer…
Rafael Sanchez has turned a vendetta into a war with no rules. He has taken retribution to an extreme and wants to shatter more than just Dillon’s life. He wants to destroy every reason Dillon has left for living.

One way in, and no way out…
Trapped in a hostile jungle, Dillon and Sara have nowhere to turn, nowhere to hide, and they find themselves shifting from the shadows of vengeance into the sunlight of justice. In order to survive, they can trust no one, will betray anyone, and are determined to win at whatever the cost.

Even if it means going over the edge.

Everyone in Ophir Creek, Idaho knows the wild legend of Corvine O’Dannan, a mysterious Irish woman with “fairy powers” who came to town during the gold rush to find her fortune, only to be betrayed by her lover and meet a tragic end—

Fast forward to the twenty-first century, and her descendent Rose doesn’t have time for such nonsense! After a crash-and-burn marriage, she’s returned to her hometown to renovate her father’s gold-panning business and to start over. But everything changes on her 30th birthday when her friend talks her into doing a love spell. Unbeknownst to them, they conjure the spirit of the very same man who once tormented Rose’s ancestor. Why? Because Rose was Corvine O’Dannan in a past life—and her really bad habit of attracting Mr. Wrong still haunts her, and now jeopardizes her very life…

But will Rose finally be able to forge a new future and make the man of her dreams become real? Only if she can once again believe…

Hilariously funny dark humor and biting satire combine in this short story set on an American TV game-show of the near future.

If you enjoy reading this short story any reviews would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes, Stephen Livingston.

Rebecca Ellen May 4, 2012 at 6:41 pm

Why do you have a Nazi's memoir as one of the offerings?!

Devon Weir May 4, 2012 at 6:47 pm

Because history is important, even told from the perspective of those who fought on the wrong side.

Celica Jones May 4, 2012 at 6:52 pm

Because all aspects of history are interesting and important. And to know history is the best way to not repeat it.

Tammy Martin Dobrosielski May 4, 2012 at 9:33 pm

One must understand the enemies of the past to avoid the enemies of the future. Getting inside his head probably sheds light on how human beings could be so inhuman towards one another… and hopefully shows us a path to avoid such wholesale slaughter again…

Mary Iorio May 5, 2012 at 12:06 am

To forget history, and not learn from it, forces us to repeat it..

Mark Halliday May 5, 2012 at 12:35 am

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" – George Santayana
We all should read history from more than one aspect to understand that which surrounded us, surrounds us, and will yet surround us. Anything less is simply living in ignorance.

Jacqueline Greely May 5, 2012 at 11:50 am

As others have said, it's history.

The Nazi memoir is there because it is history. Napoleon was a dictator and tried to take over the world but we can't seem to get enough of him or many others like him. Let's learn from the past so we don't have to relive it.

Rebecca Ellen May 4, 2012 at 6:58 pm

So is he gloating over his actions or a saddened old man?

Lori Norris May 4, 2012 at 7:08 pm

I would have to read the book first in order to have an opinion but I do agree that everyone should have a right to write or read anything they want.

Celica Jones May 4, 2012 at 7:33 pm

Does it matter? It's historical non-fiction. It's important no matter how he presents the events.

Lori Norris May 5, 2012 at 1:21 am

Celica Jones sweetie, it matters to me. I don't give opinions about books, if I haven't read them. I'm sorry if I offended you.

the best way to learn about the future is to study the past.

Rebecca Ellen May 4, 2012 at 10:50 pm

It may be important but is he getting money for this? Are we supporting a Nazi by reading it? The SS were the worst of them!

I buy a Kindle today at Walmart. It was $79.00 charge, but I got a $30.00 store credit. So, my Kindle cost me $49.00. Then I go on and download 20 free books on the deal of the day. What a deal! I will be spending my time doing a lot of reading. Thank you Sandie for sharing such a great deal with me!
