You Had Me at Haloby Amanda Ashby FREE on Kindle When Holly Evans wakes up dead at the tender age of twenty-two, she’s pretty sure things can’t get any worse (especially since her boyfriend was about to propose to her with a diamond ring the size of her knuckle). But Holly’s wrong and it turns out that she’s still got some mortal baggage to unload before she can walk through the pearly gates, which is why she’s being sent back to earth to get things sorted out. Problem is that when she lands in the body of computer geek, Vince Murphy, she discovers that instead of having left the building, Vince is still very much alive (and remarkably unimpressed at the idea of sharing with a dead girl). So now Holly has to sort out her unresolved baggage in the next forty-eight hours while stuck in the body of a guy she barely noticed while she was alive. And if she doesn’t? Well, let’s just say that she’s probably not going to like the alternative. |
The Overtakingby Victorine E. Lieske FREE on Kindle Shayne Barlet has been kidnapped, his powers disabled and his memory altered. He’s having a bad day…and he doesn’t even know it. Shayne believes he’s living the ideal life. He attends a great school in the Midwest, gets along with his roommate, and has even met a girl who seems perfect for him. But it’s all a lie. |
Birdsongsby Jason Deas *OFFER EXPIRED* Birdsongs is a fast-paced mystery centered on former FBI agent, Benny James. Fired from the FBI for inadvertently sleeping with the perp in a murder case, he tries to disappear to a houseboat and retirement. Not having what it takes to relax, Benny starts a service offering discreet investigations. That is until a body is found crucified near his marina… |
Coffin Dodgersby Gary Marshall *OFFER EXPIRED* Coffin Dodgers is a fast, funny and fat-free thriller that’s been compared to Christopher Brookmyre, Colin Bateman, Tim Dorsey, Carl Hiaasen and the films Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead. Eighty is the new thirty. Nobody’s having babies, the old massively outnumber the young and the hip crowd has become the hip replacement crowd. Twentysomething barman Matt Johnson would be bored senseless if someone wasn’t trying to kill him. When Matt isn’t playing silly pranks on his elders with his colleague Dave or laughing at Dave’s dating disasters, he’s trying to summon up the courage to ask best friend Amy out on a date. Then Matt narrowly escapes a car wreck, and he discovers that his accident was no accident. Someone’s murdering young people, and dozens are already dead. Can Matt, Amy and Dave stop the killings? The answer involves guns, gangsters, an angry bear and plenty of irate pensioners. |

Yeah I purchased it as well, not looking to make sure it was free, and ended up paying 3.99!
Me either!
I just got it for free.
Melissa Page-Anderson Sorry that one expired JUST as we posted it! It's been removed from the post and replaced with a different free book. Sometimes these go *way* too fast!
If you accidentally purchased a book, you can request a refund from Amazon's Manage Your Kindle page. Just click the drop-down next to the book title and choose "Return for Refund".
Here's the quick link to get there: http://www.amazon.com/myk

Sharon Rosen Thank you for the free books for Kindle!!! Love it my reading library has expanded. In addition, can you also post some more urban/ black novels like the 2 you posted last week. Unbroken Hearts is not coming up free to me either.
I agree Melissa, not sure why.
is anyone having a problem with the book cover showing when you download a book? When I flip through my books there are a bunch that have no cover so I can't tell what they aer until I open them…kind of a PIA…thanks for any input…thanks Pixel of Ink for the free books
I had that problem. I went to Amazon and a tech walked me thru until we fixed it. It took going into the More option under settings and then go to Applications. Filter by ALL APPLICATIONS at the top. Then go to the settings storage at the bottom and clear the storage and cache. After that, go back and go to kindle setup about halfway up the page. Clear the storage and cache there. When you go back out from there, the problem should be corrected. It will reset your favorites but I didnt mind redoing those to know which book was which!! That was THE most irritating thing ever! Hope this helps, please PM me if you need any additonal help!
Have you tried this? Choose menu on your kindle, then "go to" and choose cover. Hope this helps.
I forgot to say that you have to open the book first before you choose menu. LOL
Linda Fowler thanks. but I am very new with the kindle and I dont know how to get to the menu…LOL. thanks for any help
I had tried that on mine Linda but it would not make the cover show up. I even removed the books and resent them. I even went as far as to send them via usb. It may work for someone else so thank you for that suggestion! I had about 7 books out of 8 on my carousel that the cover was just a blank gray page. I would have to open the book and pray that it was written somewhere right there what book it was!
Linda Fowler LMAO I thought you meant my kindle book when you said that and being funny. well I tried it anyway and I still can not see a cover of soem of the books on my home page
Jessica Horne Thanks Jessica. I will be contacting you soon
Jean, I have that problem every once in awhile. All I do is power my Fire down, wait a few seconds, then turn back on. Then I connect to wi-fi and they finish downloading the cover. I have a habit of just letting my Fire go to sleep instead of powering down. When you power down, it clears the cache just like on a computer. See if that works for you.
Chris Massingill thanks, but not even that worked
.
Jean Carter Oh, darn it, Jean. I was hoping that would work for you.It always works for me. I would say your best bet right now would be to call Customer Service. They are really good and will get to the bottom of it for you! Be sure to let us know when you get the problem resolved and what you did to resolve it.
Jean Carter Have you tried doing a reboot? That's where you hold the power button down for about 2 minutes without letting go. After 2 minutes, let go of the power button and let it reboot. It will take a minute or so to completely come back but it will. Amazon CS had me do that one time also.
I tried the reboot and spent about 15 minutes with CS last night. What I told you to do above fixed the problem immediately and I have not had any further trouble with it. I had been trying for almost a month to fix it and finally broke down and contacted them last night. The agent was wonderful and so helpful!
Jessica Horne do you have the number handy that I need to call? If so could you send it to me please thanks
Jean I did not call them. I chatted with an agent online. Did the steps I gave you work? The number is on the contact us page or you can choose to chat like I did.
Jean Carter The phone number for Kindle Customer Support is
866-321-8851. They are great to talk to and will get you all fixed up!

is there any way you (POI) can put the genre with each book, rather than at the top of the page? (It makes it hard to figure out what type of book it is, without reading the description.) Make sense? Please & thank you.
