Spirit Horsesby Alan Evans Still free? Click Here to find out! In the hills of Tennessee, Shane Carson, a gifted, nationally-recognized horseman, is living the good life. When a mysterious mustang shows up on his farm, Shane doesn’t know how—or why—the horse appeared, but the horse’s distinctive brand identifies her. She is one of the Spirit Horses, a rare, wild herd that runs free on the Shoshone reservation in Wyoming. Watched over for centuries in the tribe’s ancestral valleys, these exquisite horses, according to belief, provide a link to the afterlife. When tragedy strikes in his life, Shane nearly loses his will to live—but for one promise he made to his young son: to return the mustang to her rightful home. On this bittersweet journey, Shane finds a world where tradition reigns, and ancient beliefs transcend modern logic. In this magnificent expanse of blue sky and wide open spaces, love is alive, but hate, intolerance, and greed threaten to close in. |
Little Sacrificesby Jamie Scott Still free? Click Here to find out! How much would you risk to stand up for your beliefs? When Duncan and Sarah Powell move with their daughter, May, to Savannah Georgia in 1947, they hope against hope that they’ll be welcomed. But they’re Yankees and worse, they’re civil rights advocates almost a decade too early. At first May can pretend they’re the same as everyone else. It means keeping quiet when she knows she should speak up, but it’s worth the sacrifice to win friends. Unfortunately her parents are soon putting their beliefs into action. And when they wake to find that they’re the only family on the block with a Ku Klux Klan cross blazing on their front lawn, the time comes for them to finally decide between what’s easy and what’s right. |

Wow, with all these free Kindle books, I don't know if I'll have to pay for a book for quite some time
Well of course, there are some books I just have to have right away, like the latest Nora Roberts…..lol.
Regarding SHIP OF DREAMS above…
"Accused of a crime she didn’t commit, Della Gilliland flees San Francisco, barely escaping aboard an east-bound ship."
Hmm.. an eastbound ship from SF. Heading to Sacramento perhaps? A raging storm in the SF Bay or Sacramento Delta/River would hardly be likely. I'll pass. Seems like the story might be full of editorial errors if they use that in their teaser. (c;
I've not seen many lately that appeal to me, but you did well tonight. I''d already downloaded Ship of Dreams, but I took Little Sacrifices and Omaha Beach this time. Would like to see more like these three.
Great Offers! Love the selection and of course the price! Keep em coming!
