The Tylers have a perfect life–beautiful home, established careers, two sweet and talented daughters. Their eldest daughter, Leah, an exceptional soccer player, is on track for a prestigious scholarship. Their youngest, Justine, more responsible than seems possible for her 12 years, just wants her sister’s approval. With Leah nearing the end of high school and Justine a seemingly together kid, the parents are set to enjoy a peaceful life…until Leah meets Todd, a high school dropout and former roadie for a rock band.

As Leah’s parents fight to save their daughter from a world of drugs, sex, and wild parties, their divided approach drives their daughter out of their home and a wedge into their marriage. Meanwhile, twelve-year-old Justine observes her sister’s rebellion from the shadows of their fragmented family-leaving her to question whether anyone loves her and if God even knows she exists. Can this family survive in Leah’s wake? What happens when love just isn’t enough?

Mankind has fallen to darkness and a new breed rules the earth. The age of the vampire has begun.

Few survived the fall of man. Those who remain to witness the darkening of the world live by the gun or live in fear. There is no middle ground.

The cities lay in ruin after the last war and vampires have inherited the blasted remnants.

And yet some will not cower in the night. They fight because there is nothing left to them. They fight without hope of peace or victory.

In a war with no end, in a land without succour, what chance do the survivors have? The war was lost as soon as it was begun. But there is still the past…and perhaps, a future.

And through it all, one man stands vigil.

The most challenging of them all is her relationship with her new boss.

Jack, although easy on the eye, is moody and fiery-tempered and certainly not easy on the ear. After a Christmas they would both rather forget, danger and deception threaten Pippa’s life in the country and as her time at Aspen Valley Racing Stables draws to its conclusion she discovers Peace Offering is not the only thing she must fight to keep.

It would be nice if there were a Spanish version of this. I know my mother, who knows and reads both English and Spanish, would appreciate a Spanish one as well.

Heather Cady August 5, 2012 at 4:22 am

Josefina, it sounds like you're already better than mr. Solon!

Jean Daniel August 5, 2012 at 5:06 am

Here's a link for free spanish books; came across it as I was looking for free books. Hope it helps.

Linda Yancey Carter August 5, 2012 at 5:12 am

In the USA, we speak English! If I go to a spanish speaking country I will learn the language!

Jean Daniel August 5, 2012 at 5:21 am

Some, actually, many of us speak more than one language equally well, and enjoy reading in both.

Heather Cady August 5, 2012 at 5:55 am

Linda Yancey Carter you have never left the US? Good – we don't want you up north… shallow minded bigotry is so not cool….

Maybe Josefina lives in mexico or another Spanish speaking country. Facebook and the internet isn't just for the English speaking people. I don't speak Spanish but I can't fault someone wanting to get some free books in their native language. POI thank you for the free books. I'm up to 1,061 and probably 98% are from your site :)
