But when a ghostly woman appears to her with a warning, Tara realizes it was more than chance that brought her to this island. Desperate to escape a dark and dangerous past, Tara struggles against a passionate attraction to handsome islander Dominic O’Sullivan. But the enchantment of the island soon overpowers her and she falls helpless under its spell.

Billy Allman is a hillbilly genius. People in Dogwood, West Virginia, say he was born with a second helping of brains and a gift for playing the mandolin but was cut short on social skills. Though he’d gladly give you the shirt off his back, they were right. Billy longs to use his life as an ode to God, a lyrical, beautiful bluegrass song played with a finely tuned heart. So with spare parts from a lifetime of collecting, he builds a radio station in his own home. People in town laugh. But Billy carries a brutal secret that keeps him from significance and purpose. Things always seem to go wrong for him. However small his life seems, from a different perspective Billy’s song reaches far beyond the hills and hollers he calls home. Malachi is an angel sent to observe Billy. Though it is not his dream assignment, Malachi follows the man and begins to see the bigger picture of how each painful step Billy takes is a note added to a beautiful symphony that will forever change the lives of those who hear it.

WOOL (the full collection) is the best book I've read all year (and that's saying a lot – I read anywhere from 2-5 books a week).

Sandi Kamb September 12, 2012 at 3:14 pm

Thanks for all the free books!

Joe Agro September 12, 2012 at 3:17 pm

Wool is a MUST READ! I recommend buying the Omnibus Edition. I read it in no time flat, and it kept my interest the entire time. It's classified by some as science fiction, but don't let that discourage you if you are not a fan of that genre. It really is my favorite series of all time.

Susan Heign Young September 12, 2012 at 3:43 pm

Great books today!

Lea-Ann McGregor September 18, 2012 at 2:49 pm

Did you read that wool book?

Elle Casey, YA Fiction novelist September 12, 2012 at 3:51 pm

I also highly recommend WOOL. It's a must-read! Everyone in my family loved it, even non-scifi readers and non-readers. Seriously!

Joanalli Mayes September 12, 2012 at 4:45 pm
